Free Initial Consultation

We assess your teeth, bite and jaw, taking any X-rays needed to understand the full picture. We discuss what you'd like to change, what's achievable and which brace system is most appropriate. Everything is explained clearly before you commit to anything.

Brace Fitting Appointment

Once you've decided to proceed, we take impressions or digital scans and fit your brace at a dedicated appointment. For fixed braces, metal or ceramic brackets are bonded and the wire engaged. The appointment takes around 60 to 90 minutes.

Regular Adjustment Appointments

Fixed braces require adjustment appointments every 6 to 8 weeks throughout treatment. At each visit, wires are changed or tightened and progress is reviewed. We check the teeth are moving as planned and address any concerns you have.

Progress Monitoring

Throughout treatment we take periodic records, including photographs and, occasionally, updated X-rays, to track how the teeth are moving and confirm the treatment is on course. Any refinements needed are built into the treatment plan.

Brace Removal

When treatment is complete, brackets are removed carefully and the tooth surfaces cleaned and polished. The process takes about 30 minutes and is far more comfortable than most patients expect.

Retainers

Retainers are essential after orthodontic treatment. Without them, teeth gradually shift back. We provide fixed or removable retainers when treatment finishes and advise you on how long to wear them. Long-term retainer wear is the only reliable way to maintain your results.
